Our Story

In 2025, a lifelong gamer decided to carve out a small corner of the internet for a like-minded community of players. Like many great gaming sites (Destructoid, for example, started as one gamer’s blog in 2006), Gamrkit had humble beginnings – just a controller, a keyboard, and a dream of bringing gamers together.

What started as a small personal blog quickly evolved into a platform for many voices and countless conversations. We’ve been inspired by the vibrant communities on other gaming blogs and wanted to create our own space with that same spirit. Gamrkit’s founding motivation is simple: a belief that gaming is better when it’s shared. From day one, our goal has been to make talking about video games fun again and recapture the camaraderie that comes from swapping stories about our favorite games.

Today, we remain true to our roots: independent, community-driven, and enthusiastically devoted to gaming. We’re proud of the community that’s growing around Gamrkit, and we continue to write each article with the excitement of a gamer opening a new game.
